Last updated: 20 September 2025

Who we are
“Metariom” (we/us/our) is the controller of personal data collected for use of our VR/AR/MR experiences, booking system, player accounts and related website features.

What we collect
We collect only what’s necessary to provide services: name, contact details, booking info, player profile (display name, DOB, height, dominant hand, gender), payment details, survey/feedback, support messages, website and gameplay logs (including IP/coarse location), and analytics data (cookies).

How we collect it
— Information you give us (bookings, account sign-up, surveys, support).
— Automatic collection (cookies, game logs, server logs).
— From third parties (analytics and advertising providers).

Why we use your data
To provide and manage bookings and gameplay; to operate and improve our website and games; to contact you about bookings or support; to send marketing if you consent; and to comply with legal and security obligations. Where required by law (e.g. UK/EU), we rely on contractual necessity, legitimate interests, or your consent — depending on the purpose.

Sharing & overseas transfers
We may share your data with: local venues/licensees operating Metariom sites, group companies, payment processors, booking platform providers, analytics and advertising partners, service suppliers, and legal/regulatory authorities when required. Your data may be processed or stored outside your country; when we transfer data internationally we put appropriate safeguards in place.

Cookies & advertising
We use cookies for site function, analytics and advertising. You can manage or reject non-essential cookies via the cookie banner or your browser settings. Third-party ad providers may process data for targeted ads.

Your rights
You can request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction of processing, object to processing (including profiling) and withdraw consent where applicable. EU/UK residents have additional rights; we’ll provide the required information and, if needed, verify identity before responding.

Security & retention
We use organisational, technical and physical measures to protect data but cannot guarantee absolute security. We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described or as required by law.

Children
We request that people under 15 do not provide personal data. If a child under 15 has provided data, a parent/guardian can contact us to have it removed.

Changes & complaints
We may update this policy; changes become effective when posted. If you have a complaint, contact us first at the address below. If you’re in the EU/UK you may also contact your local data protection authority.
